Once again I found myself dealing with a problematic boat dock three days before the need to push the other nine off the shore of the slowly draining lake. As luck would have it, two hot days were followed by rain and then temperatures of fifty three degrees. Listening to the rainfall and the thunder rolling through the valley while the comforter did its job was welcome relief from summer as the harbinger of autumn brought a taste of things to come. Noticeable then, the leaves upon the trees, have lost the verdant glow as the chlorophyll stands back and lets the truest colors show. Summer is not over, we have some weeks to go, but e respite from the heat serves up as a late summer treat!
